Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) behoort tot de absolute top van de hedendaagse dansgezelschappen wereldwijd. Met twee gezelschappen en in totaal 48 dansers reist NDT de hele wereld over. Achter de schermen werkt een bevlogen team van circa 70 professionals dagelijks aan onvergetelijke voorstellingen.  Van licht- en geluidsontwerp, kostuums, productie en techniek, marketing tot HR en financiën: alles draait om kwaliteit — en om mensen.

De afdeling Productie & Voorbereiding is een klein dynamisch team bestaand uit 5 personen. Vanaf het eerste ontwerp tot en met de première en de daaropvolgende voorstellingen in binnen- en buitenland speelt de afdeling Productie & Voorbereiding een belangrijke rol in het ontwikkelen en begeleiden van onze voorstellingen.

Binnen de afdeling Productie & Voorbereiding is de Technisch Producent een echte projectleider.  Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling en de realisatie op het gebied van decor, licht, geluid, video en rekwisieten.

• Je stemt de (technische) wensen voor nieuwe producties af met choreografen en hun artistieke team.

• Je vertaalt deze wensen naar een realistisch technisch ontwerp dat voldoet aan de Arbowetgeving, een productieplan en een begroting voor licht, geluid, video, decor en rekwisieten.

• Je leest technische tekeningen en bij voorkeur kun je ook zelf technische tekeningen maken.

• Je bewaakt de voortgang van de totstandkoming van de voorstelling en zorgt dat deze binnen de vooraf gestelde technische en financiële kaders blijft.

• Je maakt gedetailleerde productie- en bouwplanningen die binnen de kaders van de ATW passen en levert samen met de 1e inspiciënt input aan de planner voor de tour- en personeelsplanningen.

• Samen met de werkvoorbereiders stem je af welke materialen er beschikbaar zijn of wat er ingehuurd en aangeschaft moet worden.

• Tijdens de productieperiode ondersteun je de technici bij het vertrouwd raken met de voorstelling en daarna monitor je het technische team tijdens de tournee.

• Je voert de bijbehorende administratie, zoals bijvoorbeeld een PRIE en helpt bij het maken van bouwbeschrijvingen.

Naast een passie voor cultuur en een positieve en pro-actieve houding herken jij jezelf in het volgende:

• Je hebt een HBO-werk en denkniveau.

• Je hebt minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in een soortgelijke functie, bij voorkeur bij een reizend gezelschap.

• Je bent communicatief sterk en maakt makkelijk verbinding met verschillende mensen. Je communiceert helder en genuanceerd en weet ook in uitdagende situaties constructieve gesprekken te voeren en/of te begeleiden.

• Je bent in staat om goed om te gaan met sterk wisselende en onvoorziene omstandigheden en houdt ervan om problemen om te zetten in mogelijkheden.

• Je Je bent bekend met AutoCAD/Vectorworks of een ander CAD-tekenprogramma, of je bent bereid je hierin te bekwamen.

• Je schrijft en spreekt de Nederlandse en Engelse taal en bent in het bezit van rijbewijs B.

• Je voelt je prettig in een internationale werkomgeving en het past in je leven om regelmatig te touren, zowel binnen als buiten Nederland

Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) ranks among the very best contemporary dance companies worldwide. With two companies and a total of 48 dancers, NDT travels all over the world. Behind the scenes, a passionate team of approximately 70 professionals works daily to create unforgettable performances.  From lighting and sound design, costumes, production and technical support, marketing to HR and finance: everything revolves around quality—and people.

The Production department is a small, dynamic team of five people. From the initial design through to the premiere and subsequent performances at our base theatre and abroad, the Production department plays a key role in developing and overseeing our productions.

Within the Production department, the Technical Producer acts as a true project lead.  You are responsible for the development and implementation of set design, lighting, sound, video, and props.

• You coordinate the (technical) requirements for new productions with choreographers and their artistic teams.

• You translate these requirements into a realistic technical design that complies with occupational health and safety regulations (Arbowetgeving), a production plan, and a budget for lighting, sound, video, set design, and props.

• You read technical drawings and, ideally, can also create technical drawings yourself.

• You monitor the progress of the production’s development and ensure it remains within the predefined technical and financial parameters.

• You create detailed production and construction schedules that comply with the ATW (arbeidstijdenwet) regulations and, together with the 1st Inspicient, provide input to the planner for tour and staffing schedules.

• Together with the production planners, you will determine which materials are available and what needs to be rented or purchased.

• During the production period, you support the technicians in familiarizing themselves with the production, and thereafter you monitor the technical team during the tour.

• You handle the associated administrative tasks, such as a PRIE (Podium risicoinventarisatie en -evaluatie), and assist in creating construction specifications.

In addition to a passion for culture and a positive and proactive attitude, you recognize yourself in the following:

• You have a HBO work and thinking level.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably with a touring company.

• You are a strong communicator and easily connect with different people. You communicate clearly and nuanced and know how to conduct and/or guide constructive conversations even in challenging situations.

• You are able to deal well with highly fluctuating and unforeseen circumstances and like to turn problems into opportunities.

• You are familiar with AutoCAD/Vectorworks or another CAD drawing program, or you are willing to become proficient in it.

• You write and speak the Dutch and English language and are in possession of a driving license B.

• You feel comfortable in an international working environment and it fits into your life to tour regularly, both within and outside the Netherlands.
