She studied at the Academy voor Arts, Minerva in Groningen. Followed by an education at De Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. She has worked for 12 years as a set designer for the Theatre group Suver Nuver. Danz was a finalist for the Prix de Rome, Theatre design and Art, in 1989. The production Bizon &Zn was honoured with the Hans Snoek award in 1999. With Matthijs Rümke she created the production Katharina Katharina en het ganzenbord in 2002. It was a perfomance in an enormous factory hall of 60 by 20 meteres. One could get lost in the play for it's wideness and emptiness. “It may seem modest what I do – it does not enforce any psychological or symbolic meaning – but an actor can not get around it.”
